A life with less pain and more well-being

WHAT IS AYAMA™?

Applied Yoga Anatomy + Muscle Activation (AYAMA™) is an advanced method that combines yoga with detailed anatomy knowledge and targeted muscle activation. It is designed to help you enhance your physical fitness and mobility through precise and individually tailored exercises.

Every body is unique, and therefore, AYAMA™ is customized to your specific needs. Specific muscle groups are activated and strengthened to promote your physical balance and correct imbalances. This not only helps to fortify your muscles but also prevents injuries and enhances your physical performance. By combining yoga poses with functional movement exercises, AYAMA™ supports improvements in your flexibility and stability. The method contributes to optimizing your posture and reducing pain. Breathwork is consciously integrated into the exercises to support muscle activation and increase their effectiveness. Mindful breathing fosters relaxation and strengthens the connection between body and mind.

WHAT IS GUA SHA?

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese technique that has been used for centuries to support the body's energy flow and promote overall well-being. Using a special tool, pressure is applied to the skin to stimulate circulation, resulting in a sense of deep relaxation.

The technique involves gliding movements over the skin on the back, neck, and shoulders. Temporary redness may appear, which quickly fades and indicates stimulated blood flow.

Gua Sha can help release tension and promote a general sense of calm and renewal. This technique is a wonderful way to recover from everyday stress and support your body’s natural balance. Many people often find relief from tension in the neck, shoulder, and back areas through this practice.

**Disclaimer:** Please note that Gua Sha is not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have any health concerns, please consult a doctor or licensed practitioner.

HOW DOES A SESSION WORK?

1. A session lasts about 60-75 minutes.
2. First, we take a look at where you experience pain or tension and assess your mobility. I am particularly interested in any differences between your two sides and the extent of these imbalances.
3. Next, we perform targeted AYAMA™ exercises, which combine yoga poses to promote strength and mobility. Many people immediately feel they can move more easily and flexibly afterward.
4. Finally, we release tension using Gua Sha to enhance your recovery and overall well-being.

you are looking for a

treatment?

  1. Hydration: Drink plenty of water to support stimulated circulation, the lymphatic system and detoxification.

  2. Rest and recovery : Your body may need some time to recover.

  3. Gentle skin care: Your skin may be a little more sensitive. Moisturizing skin care products can soothe it.

  4. No extreme temperatures: Avoid hot baths, saunas or cold weather for a few hours. Extreme temperatures could irritate sensitive skin.

  5. No additional massage: Wait a few days before having massages again. Your body needs time to recover.

  6. Observe reactions: Skin redness or bruising is normal. This usually goes away within a few days. If unusual or persistent symptoms occur, please contact a doctor.

  7. Reflection and feedback: Consider how you feel afterwards and note any changes or improvements in your wellbeing. This will help us better tailor future sessions to your needs.
